Summer drinks that’ll help you keep your cool

“Summertime and the living is easy,” as the old song goes. Ella Fitzgerald clearly wasn’t going through a fifth heatwave and amber weather warnings when she sang this.

Temperatures have reached mid-to-late 30s across the country. My strategy for remaining cool is to keep all windows and curtains closed during the day, until the temperature cools in the evening. It’s then time then to open all the windows and let all the lovely cool, sweet, air in.

This is also the perfect time to spend a few hours in the garden and enjoy the good weather, away from the boiling heat of the day.

Here is the Elysium Lifestyle Magazine‘s guide to seasonal tipples that’ll help us all keep cool. We’re warned about remaining hydrated and going easy on alcohol so here are some 0% alcohol options that’ll make your taste buds zing.

Norman Soul – Sparkling Pear Drink

And for those who fancy something a little stronger, pears are everywhere this year. Norman Soul is a sparkling pear drink, with naturally produced bubbles. It looks and feels like a glass of fizz, but it’s only 4.5% ABV – less than half the alcohol of most wine. Made from 100% organic pears from Normandy.

Easy drinking and refreshing by the glass.
